Dartington Morris Men will host a Day of Morris Dancing in Totnes on Saturday 14 September 2019. This is an event open to all local Morris sides from the Open Morris, Morris Federation, and Morris Ring and forms a Joint Morris Organisation Day of Dance.
Eight local sides will be performing, starting at 11am and finishing at around 3pm following lunch.
On display will be a mixture of Cotswold Morris, North West Clog, Border Morris and North Skelton Longsword.
We will be welcoming the following sides to join us:
- Glory of the West (Cotswold)
- Green Willow (Clog)
- Grimspound Border Morris
- Lodestone Border Morris
- Newton Bushel Morris (Cotswold)
- Plymouth Maids (Clog)
- Sidmouth Steppers (Clog)
and of course Dartington Morris Men will be there to perform Cotswold and Longsword dances.
You can follow updates on this event by liking the South Devon Day of Dance Facebook page.
The sides will perform at various locations in the town, based on the Plains but also at the Rotherfold (near the Bay Horse), near the market square, and adjacent to St Mary's church.
We look forward to welcoming both the sides and the audiences - please come and say hello!
